Misc Games

Misc Games handles hundreds of players weekly on their Minecraft Network. With this influx in players, they needed a site to convert traffic to promotion.

Problem Statement

Before the creation of the MiscMC site, the server had no central place to reffer to any sites they wished to promote. The server lacked clear messaging, structure and players were often left lost as to where to find resources as well as promotions the server had. With the introduction of this site, it allows players to easily navigate and discover what the server is truly about.

Technical Details

Before jumping straight into Figma, some analysis was needed to view how this project can be completed to the clients expectations. With that, I first built a site structure to view the project layout.

Working under a tight deadline (1 Week), design needed to be kept minimal yet effective for a Minecraft Server of this size. The management department also wanted high customisability within pages to edit text such as Rules and Staff with minimal effort.

As for the design language, it needed to fit the servers colour scheme and be tailored towards a Minecraft audience. The design incorperates the young, vibrant audience which MiscMC has as well as clear sections aimed to entice players.

Summary

This project gave MiscMC a platform which they can promote their offers, store and more - making run-of-the-mill players into profound community members.
